So…You’ve seen my friend Annie before. She’s cute, right! But what you don’t know is how funny she is and how much she makes me laugh. Serious huge belly laughs bigger than I have ever laughed with anyone else on the planet ever. Man, I miss living next door to you Annie! The day I met her she was outside painting chairs and I knew I would like anyone who was painting chairs. So I went to introduce myself. About 30 minutes later she dives into this whole thing about how yellow really should be a neutral. We’ve been friends ever since.
So speaking of belly laughs…Annie wanted a picture from her point of view. You know, how you can barely see your feet. Well in order to do this I (kinda without warning) stood on a chair behind her (she knew that part) but then I popped my head right next to hers and wrapped my arms around her (to use my camera). Maybe you had to be there but it was funny. I quickly realized that was not going to work. Try as I might, it was impossible for me to actually take it from her point of view. But I think I got pretty darn close without being her second head!

This one below was just a passing moment, but I kinda love it. Sweet.

So speaking of Annie and her crazy ideas (yellow a neutral, really?) She had the food idea above. Love. And then their was this steamy shot from their session last fall. And she thought it’d be funny to recreate it. You know, before and after! So I went looking at those past shoots and I can’t believe I didn’t post that one! What was I thinking? Any way. Here it is. Steamy before and afters!

This last one is my fav.
My baby sister is engaged! I’m happy for you Rose! I had a blast with these two. They are cute together! Plus they both have amazing skin! That certainly made the editing breezy! I love how sophisticated they look all dressed up. My favorite picture is the last one. Seems like that happens a lot with me. But then I also love the one where he has his arms around her and they are both looking at the camera framed with the red brick archway. What do you think? CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO! xxxooo Oh, and thanks to my brother Sam for helping us find this location and being my assistant for this shoot!

Meet cutie pie Holland! She is gorgeous and I love the clothes her mom picked out for her. I have a huge weakness for converse sneakers myself! One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to really stare someone down for a good long time! But seriously. I really get to notice the unique beauty in my clients. After staring at Holland’s cute little face for an hour during our shoot and then 3 more hours on my computer during editing time I finally realized that she has two different colored eyes. And let’s face it….that’s just the coolest thing ever! Check out the last shot…that is thanks to Lori for dancing around and doing who knows what behind me right in the middle of downtown Maryville! Thanks Lori! It was a pleasure meeting you both!

Sweet, teeny, tiny baby Harper! She was an absolute breeze to work with! And I loved the little smiles she kept throwing my way! She is going to be a happy baby just like her big sis!

I love this little hands behind the head thing Paxon was doing! What a little man! I sure did have fun ordering all these little boy props on etsy! Does that count as a new hobby?

The blog is finally back! I hope you like the new look! I have six new exciting things to introduce to you. They are : Newborns. Studio Lighting. All inclusive pricing. Free prints! And an assistant! So first things first…the newborns. I have been working since February with another company doing newborns at the hospital and it is such a joy to see and hold these sweet little new miracles week after week. I have learned so much about how to handle them and keep them happy. Tricks I wish I knew 8 or 9 years ago when Chickie was a baby, for sure! But now I am doing full newborn sessions here at my house with studio lighting! I went to a really amazing class across the country to learn the ins and outs of studio lighting and extra fun newborn poses. I also have new all-inclusive pricing! Since 99.999% of my clients always order the cd and only about 10% of my clients order prints I decided to lump the pricing together from the get go. This will help move things along and get you your cds faster! And also I know I really like to know in advance what I’m going to spend on any given thing. So this way you know! You can look over the details of all my new pricing and sessions offered in the details tab at the top menu bar of this blog. And I’ve paired with Pro Digital Photos to offer each client a ticket for a set of free prints or an enlargement with every session! That makes me feel so much better about everyone just ordering the cds. This way you will get some prints up around your house for sure! And I have color corrected my prints with them so that I know you are getting the great quality and seeing color the same way I am when I’m editing! And finally, I’m super excited to introduce my new assistant Katie! She will be helping with emails and booking my schedule. This is her little one Liza Jo. Cute, right!

Whitney and Will’s wedding was so beautiful! Don’t you love her necklace!! The wedding was gorgeous. They are such a cute couple. And I can’t wait to see their wedding video from Milestone Pictures!

We had so many obstacles to this shoot that I knew it would have to end up being great and it was! Alli is gorgeous! I had a blast working with her. It was definitely worth the wait!

Alli is graduating from William Blount in just a few days. Congratulations!
Meet Ashley! She is gorgeous and fun and I loved our location! It was kind of a yucky morning, but you never would have guessed by the evening. It was overcast but the sun setting gave the most gorgeous glow! Ashley is graduating from Heritage High School in just a few days. Congratulations Ashley!
