This is Zeke. Short for Ezekiel.  He is such a special little guy.  Just look at this face!  He has such a bright, bright mind.  And I’m so lucky to be his aunt!  Since he just turned 8 years old he has reached the age of being able to be baptized (as any Mormon kid will tell you).  So before his baptism, while everyone else was getting ready, Zeke and I went in the back yard and snapped a few pictures.  In general, I like kids to look like kids. Which at any moment other than a Sunday morning or a special occasion, such as this, Zeke portrays the epitome of childhood.  Trust me.  But I gotta say…I LOVE a kid in a suit.  Really at any age.  Guys just look good in suits.  Take my son for example.  He’s three and he rocks a suit!  I’ll have to share proof of that later.  But for now, more of Zeke, age 8, looking like a little man.  So cute.

This black and white of Zeke reminds me of a picture of my dad when he was 19, rockin’ a suit, same exact expression.

P.S.  This is random.  And I don’t know why I’m so chatty tonight.  I just realized something.  My brother has black hair.  That is so weird to me because I always think of him as having brown hair.  I’m not sure when it got so dark.  Probably years ago.  You know what else is weird.  I have black hair, too.  I’ve been insisting that it’s brown for years.  People just humor me and smirk when I insist that I have brown hair.  Maybe if I think of my hair as raven like Diana Barry in Anne of Green Gables or Sara Crewe in The Little Princess, then it would seem more appealing and I would feel much better about myself.  If you know of any other heroine’s or their side kicks who have raven black hair, by all means speak up!

I have been searching for the perfect opportunity and at last I’ve found it!  I met someone fabulous and new the other night at dinner with friends.  Desiree was telling us about the marathon she is running with her siblings to celebrate her little sister’s five year mark of being cancer free!  They have pledged to raise $25,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society before Oct 24th!  They have a long way to go and I am excited to be able to help them out.  I am offering a 25 minute mini session on Saturday September 18th at the World’s Fair Park in Knoxville, TN.  The price is $150 and that includes a disc of 10-15 full resolution, beautifully edited photos from the session with full copy-right release!  And even better, 100% of the proceeds will go towards five in training and their goal of $25,000 to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!

What can you do in 25 minutes?  A lot actually!  This is the perfect time to get your family Christmas card photo, High School Senior pictures, celebrate a birthday or an engagement!  Or maybe this is the perfect time to do it just for fun!

Richy Kreme has been around for 62 years! And it’s SO so good.  They are open until they run out of doughnuts.  It’s definitely worth the trip to Maryville if you live nearby or plan to be in the general area.

What is a Senior Rep?

They are spokesmodels that help promote Andrea Larsen Photo with their own amazing portraits.  You’re going to tell your friends about how incredible you experience was anyway, so why not earn some credits towards photos while you’re at it?  An ideal senior rep has lots of friends and is a very outgoing and energetic person.  We need reps who are going to create a buzz about us and who are going to have lots of friends to tell about it!  Please only submit emails if you are serious about this.

What do Rep Models Do?

We are not asking you to be a sales person…our photos are going to sell themselves.  We are asking you to simply tell all of your friends about us and show off your pictures, create a buzz about our photography.  It’s simple really.  The more friends you get to come get their senior portraits with us, the more free stuff you’ll get.  We also have great incentives for the people you refer, so it’s a win-win.

What do I receive for being a Rep Model?

- Complimentary on-location photo shoot ($125.00 value).  The session will last up to 2 hours, so you truly get to feel like a super model for the day.

-10 web resolution images to use on your facebook and myspace pages.

-50 senior rep model cards with your images on them. (This is what you’ll hand out to all of your friends to get them to come get their senior portraits done with us)

-$30.00 print credit for every senior you refer who books a session with Andrea Larsen Photo.  There is no limit on how much you can earn, most senior reps will get an entire senior package for free from referring people.

This is the Zollinger family.  Jill and I share a common love of quilting.  I don’t think I’ve mentioned it on this blog before, but I love to sew.  We arranged a little swap and I can’t help but feeling I got the better end of the deal!  Jill has a long-arm quilt machine and she quilted this quilt that I made using a Denyse Schmidt pattern (love her!).  I gave Jill an idea of what I wanted and she did such an amazing job with it!  I’m very happy!  I hope you are equally happy with your pictures Jill!
